Maisoun Badawi is the Founder and CEO of SavanaNut, developing a scalable commercial crop production platform in Senegal focused on white sesame and groundnuts.

Maisoun brings a rich background shaped by more than two decades of experience working across private-sector, market systems, and agriculture competitiveness. Her expertise gives her a strong understanding of how markets move, how value chains develop, and how businesses can become engines of economic transformation. At SavanaNut, she brings this knowledge together with her entrepreneurial drive, positioning the company to grow as a disciplined, market-oriented agribusiness platform rooted in Senegal’s agricultural potential.

At SavanaNut, Maisoun leads the company’s strategic vision, market positioning, partnerships, and growth roadmap. She brings a practical value-chain perspective to the company’s development, aligning land, irrigation, crop production, buyer demand, and commercial partnerships into a disciplined agribusiness model.

Through SavanaNut, her vision is to grow value from Senegal’s land by building a trusted private-sector platform that supports export growth, domestic processing, rural employment, and long-term agricultural transformation.

Anayat Hussain is the Chief Financial Officer of SavanaNut and a globally engaged finance professional with more than 20 years of experience in corporate finance, investment structuring, financial planning, and strategic advisory.

He has supported businesses across multiple regions in developing investor-ready business plans, financial models, and funding strategies, helping companies secure capital, manage risk, and scale sustainably.

Anayat brings deep expertise in valuation, capital structuring, financial governance, and risk management. He has worked closely with founders, investors, and financial institutions to structure deals, optimize capital allocation, and translate complex business opportunities into clear, credible investment cases.

At SavanaNut, Anayat leads the company’s financial strategy, investment framework, and value-chain economics. His role is focused on building scalable and financially sound models that support SavanaNut’s long-term growth, strengthen investor confidence, and align commercial performance with sustainable agricultural development.

Fathima serves as Administrative and Human Resource Manager at SavanaNut, bringing strong experience in executive assistance, administration, operations support, supplier coordination, and commercial follow-up. With a versatile background across administration, imports and exports, local procurement, banking follow-up, client portfolio management, and sales administration, she plays an important role in supporting the company’s daily operations and internal organization. 

At SavanaNut, Fathima oversees administrative coordination, human resource support, supplier and documentation follow-up, and operational processes that help ensure efficiency across the business. Her professionalism, discretion, adaptability, and strong sense of responsibility make her a valuable member of the SavanaNut management team.
