SavanaNut’s Certified Groundnut Plus seed line is designed to bring improved, quality-controlled groundnut seed to farmers across Senegal’s key production regions. Built on selected Senegal-adapted varieties, the Plus program combines certified seed multiplication with applied R&D, regional validation, seed purity controls, and market-focused quality assurance.
The initial Plus portfolio includes 55-33 Plus, Sunu Gaal Plus, Jaambar Plus, and Amoul Morom Plus — each positioned for specific production zones, maturity windows, and market uses. Through R&D partnerships, SavanaNut is working to strengthen heat and drought resilience, germination, seed vigor, disease tolerance, oil profile, storage performance, and farmer acceptance.
By linking improved seed with farmer productivity and processor demand, SavanaNut’s Groundnut Plus line is designed to support stronger yields, better crop quality, and a more reliable groundnut value chain in Senegal.

Groundnut has deep historical, economic, and social importance in Senegal. For generations, it has shaped rural livelihoods, farmer income, agro-industrial activity, and the country’s agricultural identity.
Today, groundnut remains one of Senegal’s most important crops. It supports household income, contributes to local food systems, provides raw material for oil processing, and plays an important role in the broader rural economy.
For SavanaNut, groundnuts are part of both the country’s heritage and its future. The opportunity now is to strengthen the reliability, consistency, and quality of groundnut supply for domestic industrial processing.
SavanaNut’s groundnut production model is designed to support that need. Through controlled irrigation, mechanized field operations, post-harvest handling, moisture control, cleaning, grading, and traceability, the company is building a production system that can deliver more consistent raw material to Senegal’s processing sector.
Groundnuts also complement SavanaNut’s broader crop strategy. Alongside white sesame, they provide crop diversification, domestic market exposure, and a strong link to Senegal’s agro-industrial value chain.
SavanaNut’s role is to bring greater production discipline, quality control, and supply reliability to a crop that remains central to Senegal’s agricultural future.
