Based in Mbane, Saint-Louis Region, SavanaNut will operate on an initial production area of 1,500 hectares, scalable over time, with a fully integrated model that combines mechanized farming, nursery operations, breeding support, seed multiplication, processing, laboratory-based quality control, climate-controlled storage, and commercial seed distribution. Our facilities will leverage alternative energy solutions to support climate-controlled storage and processing operations, helping protect seed viability while reducing the environmental footprint of our production system.

Our core business is the multiplication, production, and commercialization of certified groundnut seed for the Senegalese market. We will focus on four released groundnut varieties adapted to Senegal’s agro-climatic conditions, while investing in varietal improvement for heat tolerance, drought resilience, high oil content, strong germination, disease resistance, and stable yields.

SavanaNut will operate as an integrated seed producer with its own production base, nurseries, breeding line, R&D arm, furnished seed laboratory, quality-control system, traceability platform, climate-controlled storage facilities, and mechanized processing capacity. We plan to partner with ISRA and other reputable research and development organizations in seed research, varietal testing, breeder seed access, and foundation seed multiplication.

SavanaNut’s long-term ambition is to become a trusted national seed platform that improves farmer productivity, strengthens Senegal’s groundnut value chain, supports climate adaptation, enables local value-added processing, and contributes to rural job creation in the Saint-Louis Region.
